MM solo vs Ele solo drop rates - Guild Wars Forums

Okay, has anyone actually seen a difference of drop rates when you are an MM? Here's what I've seen. In Elona, I've done some low level farming for drops with my Ele, and on average I'd get some sort of drop for about 95% (or more), mostly low level stuff, as to be expected. I then took my MM into the exact same area, and the drop rate with a group of minions is looking more like the inverse, or about 5% -- as in most mobs aren't dropping ANYthing at all.

Anyone else seen this?

Edit: more testing seems to reveal that if the minons do most of the damage, no drop. if I do most of the damage, drop.... kind of defeats part of the purpose of an MM doesn't it?
